About the Training

Be equipped with the tools and language to cultivate inclusive & productive workplaces, no matter their sexuality, gender expression or identity.

Working with Pride is an experiential leadership training program designed to equip participants with the skills and awareness to make workplaces more accepting, vibrant and productive. Our goal is to provide participants with tools and awareness to help cultivate an inclusive society for all people, no matter their sexuality, gender expression or identity. Using Forum Theatre, the training aims to give participants first hand experiences of the content by applying the tools in a supported learning environment. The content is then unpacked in real time to generate fresh insights for participants that can be integrated into their personal or professional practice.

Working with Pride is available to run in workplaces, community organisations and secondary schools.

Key components

  • 1. Build your skills to become an active advocate for inclusive workplaces and community
  • 2. Identify and overcome your personal barriers to bystander intervention, in a safe and supportive environment
  • 3. Deepen your understanding about the complexity and impacts of LGBTI discrimination

Outcomes

Have an increased understanding of the impacts of ‘covering’ and LGBTI discrimination in the workplace

Be aware of the barriers to bystander intervention

Acquire practical strategies and language skills to engage in difficult conversations

Recognise the potential for social leadership to create inclusive social norms for all people
